Rudolf van den Berg suddenly passed away
We are deeply saddened and shaken by the passing of our director Rudolf van den Berg. Rudolf passed away suddenly last night at the age of 76.
Just ten days ago, Rudolf was still on the film set of our feature film SPINOZA. It is hard to believe that after such a wonderful shooting period, we now have to say goodbye to our beloved director so abruptly.
Rudolf van den Berg (1949) studied political science before working as a screenwriter and director of feature films and documentaries. His films received several Golden Calf awards: Best Feature-Length Documentary for Sal Santen Rebel(1982), Best Director for Bastille (1984), Best Feature Film for De Avonden (1989), Best Director for For My Baby(1997), and Best Director for Tirza (2010).
