Hotel Paramaribo received development subsidy
Flinck Film & Maya Creatives have received screenplay development subsidy from the Netherlands Film Fund for Hotel Paramaribo. This film is written by Manoushka Zeegelaar-Breeveld and to be directed by Barbara Bredero & Manoushka Zeegelaar-Breeveld. Hotel Paramaribo, an idea by Shenin Lebrun (producer & owner Maya Creatives), is about the Amsterdam lawyer Cynthia Roosenblad who travels to Suriname for the funeral of her favorite aunt. Outhere she is confronted with part of her cultural background that she had hidden away. She also inherits a hotel in Paramaribo. She discovers that putting things in order is more difficult than she thought.
